Hyla Levy lives and works in Toronto, and has a degree from the Ontario College of Art and Design. She works with photography and is fascinated with connections. Levy is drawn to the layers of everyday life; to the idea that beyond one thing there is something else. These layers of buildings, reflections, humans, etcetera, create a complex and fluid interaction between everything existing. She believes that abstraction is related to isolation, and that upon closer consideration, there is no such thing as isolation at all, only an incomplete picture.
