Ito Laïla François
Ito Laïla François was born in Quebec in 1985, and holds two diplomas in sculpture and glass art and one in Art Studies by the Concordia University, Montreal.
Her multimedia approach and anatomical studies convey the dichotomy between beauty and ugliness in living things. François is interested in exploring ideas of femininity, violence, and body image in her practice, using natural materials such as wood and fur, as well as manipulated glass.
